Bio

Bailey and Keely met on the English session scene and instantly clicked over their love of pushing tunes beyond their limits. Radio 2 Folk Awards nominee and New Roots finalist Saul Bailey has performed solo supporting the likes of Leveret and John Kirkpatrick, played as part of the indie-folk band Glymjack, and worked as an accompanist. Royal Academy of Music alumnus Mitch Keely is a composer and multi-instrumentalist and has worked with talent from a diverse scope of genres and traditions both in the UK and abroad as a backer, composer, audio engineer, and producer.

Together, they form a new and unique musical force. They draw upon a joint history of Morris dance and traditional music, hauling it into the modern age with a sensitive irreverence. Their debut album, Atthomis, released in 2024 with Scribe Records. Crafted from reworked traditional English tunes, original compositions and improvisations, it is a testament to the way in which Bailey and Keely embrace the unknown and pull new musical possibilities from the weird and the wonky.
